ABOUT CRC

Cooper River Contracting (CRC) was established in South Carolina in January 2007 and is currently owned by John DeWitte. Prior to establishing CRC, John was employed by a large international General Contractor for 18 years working in Canada, United States and the Caribbean before landing in Charleston. A copy of his General Contractor experience is attached.

Cooper River Contracting began as a commercial concrete subcontracting company, but at the completion of its’ first concrete project at Charleston Oceanfront Villas, they were asked to provide Construction Management Services for post-litigation repairs to the property. These repairs put CRC in contact with property management and forensic engineering firms which opened the doors to condominium restoration. Since that first project, CRC has completed a variety of condominium projects in the Charleston area. A list of these projects with photographs can be found on the accompanying pages.

The company has seen steady growth with revenues increasing from $10,000,000 to $15,000,000 annually. Bonding capacity has also grown and is currently at $40,000,000. Cooper River Contracting currently holds an unlimited General Contractors licenses in North and South Carolina as well as a unlimited Glass & Glazing license in South Carolina.

In 2010, Cooper River Concrete was formed and now all concrete subcontracting work is performed under this separate entity. Cooper River Concrete has grown to become the largest local turnkey concrete subcontractor in the Charleston area.

With the locally economy flourishing, CRC is ready to lead the way in restoration and concrete work in the low country.
